the above three releases all have the ontic piece 'being' as its subject. the piece is just there, present - it is. this is a radical-minimal track, with the notes merely indicating the presence of the piece - it's just there. this piece is performed in each and every cs/chs concert.

the structure of the piece is as follows:
(the metre is 4/4; tempo chosen by performer.)
seven bars of silence - two bars of low E string - seven bars of silence - two bars of low e string - silence (duration to be chosen by performer).
the surrounding ambience may occur as given in that particular moment.

the first cd-r release (distributed privately) contains a single very long (47-minute) version, the tape release from 1997 features an edit of the first version, plus two others, by cryptic scenery in the rehearsal room and chs live in oldenburg, respectively - while 'being -six objects-' offers six different versions recorded in different locations - amongst those six versions is a shorter edit of the original version. besides, another live recording is contained on 'cd-r', and yet another edit of the 1996 recording is archived on the canadian 'sonus' site.

the original 'being' disc is archived at the following locations:
- two copies (blue and red) in 'private possession'
- one copy (yellow) archived at the 'klaus-kuhnke archiv' in bremen
- the final copy (green) archived at the 'national sound archive' in london

the three archivations mentioned have been undertaken to ensure the public accessibility of the track 'being'.
